Both microbreweries and craft beers are types of beer made at small breweries, and although they may seem similar, there are actually several differences.
First, a microbrew is a beer brewed at a local brewery. In other words, local breweries use local water and local ingredients to brew their beer. Craft beer, on the other hand, is beer brewed on a smaller scale and in a more handcrafted manner. Craft beers are not restricted by regional restrictions and can use a variety of domestic and international ingredients to brew their beer.
Also, while microbreweries aim to offer beers that are rooted in local flavor and culture, craft beers aim to offer more diverse and creative beers. In other words, craft beers often offer non-traditional tastes and styles of beer with the goal of providing consumers with a new beer experience.
